
Property Insurance General Adjuster
Claim professional sought to join a highly respected property casualty insurance
company. Based from your residence in New England, the successful candidate will
provide a high standard of service while effectively handling and directing a diverse
caseload of property insurance claims, including complex and large property claims
throughout the New England states and northern New York. Candidates must possess a
track record of proven aptitude and success and be skillful in handling all aspects of
property claim adjusting, including expertise in policy interpretation, coverage
determination, writing detailed residential and commercial building estimates,
adjusting business interpretation claims and dispute resolution with Vermont Mutual
insured's or their representatives.
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

Bachelor's degree in business, insurance or a related field or equivalent experience.

Ten+ years of relevant technical claims experience with a record of achievement and
success; including advanced knowledge of the technical aspects of property claims in
New England and New York.

Adjuster's License(s) where required by law.

Demonstrated commitment to professional development such as AIC, SCLA, CPCU, RPA, CIC.

Strong analytical, negotiating, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;

Well versed in reconstruction methods, loss mitigation and remediation techniques, building
codes, ordinances, claims law, etc.

Ability to exercise sound judgment and ethics in dealing with professional issues.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office/estimating software/imaging software, mobile technology.

Ability to travel frequently and travel to the Home Office in Montpelier upon request.
