Vermont Mutual Insurance Group® was again recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Vermont by Vermont Business Magazine and the Vermont Chamber of Commerce. This is the tenth year in a row the property & casualty insurer has been named a “Best Place to Work” since first entering the state survey and awards program back in 2016.
Every year Vermont Business Magazine surveys and reviews the policies, systems, practices and demographics of Vermont companies to identify the best places to work in the state. Included in the assessment are anonymous survey responses from employees, which account for 75% of the total evaluation.
Vermont Mutual’s Vice President of Human Resources, Sarah Young, remarked “The Best Places to Work designation is one we are especially proud to receive. It directly reflects the conscientious effort everyone at Vermont Mutual makes to promote a positive and healthy working environment.” Ms. Young continued “As a company, we work continually to improve the workplace through a multitude of initiatives that are designed to foster a healthy work-life balance. This includes offering a hybrid work schedule, career development workshops, as well as fun events such company cook-offs, our annual cornhole tournament, and much more.”
The “Best Places to Work in Vermont” awards program took place on April 2, 2025 and is presented in partnership with the Vermont State Council, Society for Human Resource Management, the Vermont Department of Labor, the Vermont Department of Economic Development, and Best Companies Group.
