Vermont Mutual COVID-19 Response

Vermont Mutual recognizes that the current COVID-19 pandemic has placed many families throughout the country into a state of great uncertainty. As well, the financial impact of these unprecedented and uncertain times is widespread, impacting children, students, families, employees, small businesses and large corporations. While the government’s response has been significant, the amount of support that will ultimately be needed remains unknown. In an effort to assist those members of our community who are experiencing financial distress, Vermont Mutual has initiated the following actions:


Vermont Mutual will provide a payback equivalent to 20% of a customer’s auto premium for 3 months due to reduced personal lines auto loss frequency resulting from the stay-at-home order.

The payback will be automatically applied, with no action or steps required by policyholders.


Vermont Mutual has designated $1,000,000 in charitable donations for COVID-19 recovery efforts in Vermont.  If your organization has been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, we may be able to help. Please feel free to access our grant request form at the link below and submit your request for consideration. Due to the anticipated high demand for the grant money we are offering, the only way we can consider your request is when it’s submitted on the provided Grant Request Form via the email or physical address listed at the bottom of the form. You will be notified whether or not your grant request will be fulfilled via one of the contact methods you provide on the form.

Vermont Mutual understands that some of our policyholders are under financial stress due to the Stay-At-Home order. Please know that we are actively working with your Independent Insurance Agent to ensure that any policyholder who is experiencing financial difficulties at this time be allowed greater time and flexibility in making their payments.
